The cast of the surprise hit show “Glee” was rumored to be possibly appearing in the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, with an invite from Macy’s themselves – but turns out NBC shut it down and pulled the singing sensations from the lineup, disappointing fans across the country.
“Glee” creator Ryan Murphy responded snarkily: “I completely understand NBC’s position, and look forward to seeing a Jay Leno float.” Sources from NBC have stated that the network feels that featuring the cast would be too much promotion for the show.
However, now it is suspected that the network might have had another motive.

Carson Daly and girlfriend Siri Pinter are expecting their first child together, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.A new baby will be one more reason for the 35-year-old host of Last Call With Carson Daly to stay up late.
“Carson is thrilled to be a father and they are looking forward to an extra special Thanksgiving this year with family and friends,” his rep Heather Lylis tells PEOPLE.he TV personality and Pinter will welcome their child in early spring.With Daly being such an avid cyclist, “friends are already looking for bike helmets for the little one,” jokes Lylis.Daly is also host of the upcoming New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly on NBC.

Britney Spears has pulled out of a planned gig with Madonna so she can be with her boys.
The singer, who performed with the 50-year-old Material Girl in LA last week, was scheduled to make a guest appearance on Madge’s Sticky & Sweet tour in Miami.
But Britney, 26, has changed her plans because Jayden James, 2, and Sean Preston, 3, have been allowed to stay with her in the lead up to Thanksgiving. Her ex Kevin Federline, 30, has full custody of the children.
‘She had agreed to perform in Miami but her circumstances have changed over the past couple of months,’ a source tells The Sun.
