Travolta Extortion Suspect Insists She's 'no Devil'A former Bahamas senator accused of attempting to extort $25 million fromJohn Travolta has protested her innocence, telling a Nassau court she is”no devil”.

Politician and lawyer Pleasant Bridgewater and paramedic Tarino Lightbourne are on trial in the Bahamas on charges of conspiracy to extort moneyfrom the grieving actor after his teenage son Jett suffered a fatal seizure in January (09).

The pair reportedly threatened to release a Refusal of TreatmentTransportation form, which the actor signed after requesting paramedics drive his son to the airport.

Travolta initially believed it would be faster to fly Jett to a hospital in Florida for treatment, but subsequently changedhis mind.

Bridgewater and Lightbourne supposedly planned to leak the document to the press, suggesting Travolta’s actions had delayed treatment for his son.

The pair reportedly threatened to release a Refusal of TreatmentTransportation form, which the actor signed after requesting paramedics drive his son to the airport

The defendants appeared in court on Wednesday (14Oct09) but refused to take the witness stand, choosing instead to read prepared unsworn statements directly to the jury.

Bridgewater claimed she had been set up by Travolta’s legal team and subjected to ridicule since the allegations arose earlier this year (09).

She stated, “I maintain my innocence.

The 34-year-old actor wore his support on his cap for the AMC drama, Breaking Bad. The show revolves revolves around Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher with a teenage son who has cerebral palsy (RJ Mitte), and a pregnant wife, Skyler (Anna Gunn).

Bradley recently lost the role of Green Lantern to Ryan Reynolds.

Courteney Cox is set to lay the ghost of her Friends character Monica to rest in her racy new TV show.In U.S. comedy Cougar Town, Courteney, 44, reveals her impressive figure as she flashes her white lingerie at a passing teenage cyclist.In the new ABC show, which starts in October, Courteney plays Jules, a fortysomething divorcée single mother struggling to find love in a small Florida town.

When her character realises most of the men her own age are taken, she starts dating a younger man, hence the title ‘Cougar Town’.A clip of of the late-night programme shows Jules being accused of trying to ‘hit on’ her teenage son Tad (Dan Byrd) .In somewhat questionable casting, the stunning, youthful-looking actress is a world away from the ageing, desperate cougar stereotypes.

In a brief segment of the new show, Jules is arguing with her good-looking neighbour Grayson (Josh Hopkins) over his frequent young female guests.While the viewers and Grayson can clearly tell Jules secretly fancies him, she has a go at him for ’sexing up sorority girls’ only a week after splitting from his wife.Grayson turns the focus back to Jules, asking her: ‘When was the last time you got laid?’In a somewhat uneasy reply, she responds: ‘Well, I almost hooked up with my son last night.’Grayson issues her with a challenge, to find a man as young as the women he has been hooking up with.
