After a devastating loss on Britain’s Got Talent, reports say Scottish singer Susan Boyle has been admitted to London’s Priory Clinic for exhaustion.Susan — who became a YouTube sensation after performing a rendition of “I Dreamed A Dream” from the musical Les Miserables on the talent series earlier this year — lost the title to Diversity, a dance troupe from Essex, England.
The church volunteer received only twenty percent of the 4 million audience votes that decided the show’s winner.According to Britain’s Daily Mail, the 48-year-old was rushed to The Priory – the famed celebrity rehab clinic – because of “exhaustion” following her Talent defeat.
On Sunday, Britain’s Got Talent released a statement saying Boyle had been told by doctors to take a break from her sudden stardom.“Following Saturday night’s show, Susan is exhausted and emotionally drained. She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery,” The Daily Mail reported the statement as saying.

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle unveiled the dramatic results of her image makeover today.The Scottish spinster, who previously insisted stardom wouldn’t change her, left her home in Blackburn, West Lothian, with a spring in her step after undergoing a makeover that cost just £100.Her frizzy grey hair has been cut and coloured for £35 while her famously bushy eyebrows have been reshaped for £5.
The 47-year-old, who was dubbed the ‘hairy angel’, also raised her game in the style stakes with a pair of high heels and a rather enthusiastic smothering of make-up.Her matronly attire had been traded in for a pair of crisply ironed trousers, a white shift shirt, her favourite new leather jacket and Burberry inspired scarf.
However, her new look has caused consternation behind the scenes with sources on the show said to be ‘frantic’, as they wanted to preserve her unique looks for the live finals.The contrast between Susan’s unkempt appearance and angelic singing voice is said by many to be the key to her meteoric rise to international fame.As she returned home from the salon yesterday Susan came over all shy and took great pains to cover up her new locks with a headscarf.

A trip to the shops has resulted in a new leather-look jacket and patterned dress, with Susan making the most of her moment in the spotlight.But, despite her new clothes and sculpted eyebrows, she is still the same-old Susan who won fans with her down-to-earth persona – happily posing for photos with fans and giving a thumbs up to photographers.And Susan told this week’s Star magazine that although thought she looked ‘like a garage’ on TV she was ‘happy the way I am – plump!’
