She stars opposite Steve Coogan in the film about a group of dysfunctional students.The film sees Coogan as a morally bereft reporter sent to cover the Challenger Space Shuttle launch, and later becoming involved with some high school girls.Hilary has also landed a lead role in the remake of Bonnie and Clyde – much to the horror of the original Bonnie, Faye Dunaway.

The 68-year-old actress sniped: ‘Couldn’t they at least have cast a real actress?’Hilary is said to have responded to the jibes by deeming them: ‘A little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now’, in reference to Miss Dunaway’s former enthusiasm for plastic surgery.

The plot sees “a tremor under the surface of Lake Victoria unleashes scores of prehistoric piranhas, an event which rallies the local sheriff (Shue) who will risk everything to save her townsfolk.”
