Britney’s ever-changing hair has long been used as a barometer of her internal mood.At the top of her game, it was long, blonde and glossy – at her lowest it was shorn to reveal her bald scalp.So, as she stepped out with new love, and rumoured fiancé, Jason Trawick, her newly brunette hairdo was bound to raise eyebrows.

Her hair was long and dark – a change from a day earlier when it was shoulder-length, wavy and blonde. Britney wore a huge sparkling diamond on her ring finger, sparking rumours the two are now engaged.If so, they could have been feathering their nest – the bodyguard struggled out half way through their shopping spree with a cart full of bags, including a broom, to take to their 4×4.

During her relationship with her now ex-husband Kevin Federline, Britney also experimented with brown hair.Yesterday, the dressed-down 27-year-old teamed her new ‘do with a bright orange vest and denim hotpants, while Trawick, 37, was equally casual.The couple’s relationship was only confirmed earlier this month, but they are believed to have been dating for several months.

They made their first public appearance together at the end of May at a party for fashion designer Christian Audiger.They were also spotted looking close on a Caribbean holiday last month, along with Britney’s father Jamie, brother Bryan and sons Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two.
