Jessica Simpson’s father has been blamed for ruining her romance with Tony Romo.
American football star Tony – who split from Jessica last week – reportedly became increasingly frustrated with Joe Simpson’s involvement in his daughter’s life.
FOX News reports: “Joe’s meddling ways most likely took its toll on the relationship, which is the reason why they split the first time 14 months ago.

Finished up with her opening duties for the Rascal Flatts, Jessica Simpson has turned her attention back to business endeavors outside of the music world.
The “Do You Know” singer stepped out on Saturday (March 21) for the launch of her “Fancy” fragrance at Dillards Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, Arizona.Joined by her mother Tina, Miss Simpson signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans – doing her best to boost sales for her new scent.
Meanwhile, recent rumors tell that Jessica’s dad is itching for her to dump her Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo.
A tabloid source alleged that Joe Simpson reportedly “feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica.”
Despite the fatherly urging, the insider adds, “But if Jessica had her druthers, she’d be married and pregnant. Her main concern is getting Tony to settle down and commit.”
