Holly Madison Defends Unusual Baby Name

Holly Madison gave birth to her first child last week, a baby girl named Rainbow Aurora Rotella.

With the Internet buzzing over such an unusual moniker, Madison took to her website yesterday and explained the name “Rainbow” was taken from a former classmate and:

“She was a perfectly normal, well-adjusted, sporty girl… so I’m not worried about my daughter being ‘traumatized’ by having an unusual name.”

And all you haters out there? Who are bashing the baby name? You will just make Rainbow stronger in the end.

“I want my daughter to be proud of who she is and learn to speak up and stand up for herself at a young age,” Madison writes. “I spent most of my life being a people-pleaser who worried about what other people thought … and I don’t want that for her.”

Madison, 31, said that she insured her famous assets with Lloyd’s of London to protect them while appearing in her Las Vegas production, ‘Peepshow’.

“I’ve heard about people getting body parts insured and I thought, why not? because if anything happened to my boobs, I’d be out for a few months and I’d probably be out a million dollars,” she told People magazine.

“I thought I’d cover my assets,” she added.

Madison, however, also comprehends the quirkiness of it.

“I think it’s kind of funny. I think they’re getting the credit they deserve. They’re my primary money makers right now,” she added.

Hugh Hefner is Getting Married to Playmate Crystal Harris

Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner celebrated the holidays with his newest plaything – announcing his engagement to bombshell girlfriend Crystal Harris.

Hefner, 84, said in a Twitter message from the Playboy Mansion in Hollywood that he’d given a ring to Harris, a 24-year-old former Playmate.

Harris, who posed for Playboy in her birthday suit last December, burst into tears at the news that the octogenarian mogul wants to tie the knot, he tweeted.

“This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory,” Hefner wrote.

Hefner later tweeted a second time to let friends and fans know that ring was not simply a Christmas gift for the sexy gal pal.

“Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring,” the mogul wrote. “I didn’t mean to make a mystery out of it. A very merry Christmas to all.”

Holly Madison is Getting Her Own Show

Former Playboy Playmate Holly Madison will start shooting ‘Planet Holly’ in Las Vegas on October 12, and claims the new show will be “empowering” and fun.

“It will have some docu-drama, but it’s the perfect excuse for me to be normal in a light-hearted comedy romp,” Holly said.

“‘Planet Holly’ also will have an empowering message for women showing that however crazy the ideas you might have, they can be achieved. “

“Growing up in Oregon, I had crazy dreams. I’d see Pamela Anderson or Jenny McCarthy on TV and say I’d like to do that, too. I wanted to go off on the adventure. I dreamed of being a sex symbol as a showgirl in Las Vegas – and it all came true!”

Holly – who is famous for dating Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner, who she split from last year – also wants to help young girls realise that their dreams can be achieved through hard work.

Referring to the burlesque production ‘Peepshow’ she has been a part of, Holly added: “Just because I‘ve wound up in ‘Peepshow’ on the Vegas Strip, I’m not stopping, and I’ve set myself five more things to achieve in life. I will never stop setting new goals because I’m having fun living life.”

Kendra Wilkinson Showers With HughKendra Wilkinson’s ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner attended her baby shower yesterday (09.09.09).

Playboy founder Hugh took his latest girlfriends Crystal Harris and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon to meet Kendra – who is due to have her first boy with husband Hank Baskett in December.

Writing on his Twitter blog ahead of his visit on Tuesday, 83-year-old Hugh wrote: “All my girlfriends – old and new – will be at Kendra’s baby shower. How can I stay away?”

Other guests attending the party – held at the home of Playboy mansion secretary Mary O’Conners – included Hugh’s ex-girlfriends Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison.

The partygoers enjoyed a ‘pickles and ice cream/candyland’ themed party which included cupcakes baked by Bridget.

Bridget had earlier written on Twitter: “Just got done baking, frosting and decorating a ton of mini-cupcakes for Kendra’s shower tomorrow.

“It’s been a busy day. I’m exhausted!”

Holly revealed wrote on Twitter she was “wearing a sympathy pack made of balloons” at the party.

Kendra and Hank Tie the Knot

Former Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson married Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett at the playboy mansion on Saturday. Kendra wore a white dress with a fitted bodice and a poofy skirt. Hank and the groomsmen also wore white. The bridesmaids, who included playmates Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison,wore lavender.

Kendra walked down the aisle wearing more than $100,000 worth of platinum jewelry. The ceremony was on the lawn which was decorated with white rose petals and flower wreaths. There were about 300 guests at the wedding including Hugh Hefner.

“It was a beautiful setting for a wedding,” Holly Madison said.

The traditional wedding ceremony was followed by a traditional reception. The newlyweds had their first dance to George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart.” Kendra saved the second dance for Hefner.

Kendra and Hank are expecting their first child on Christmas day.
