Halle Berry Opens Up About Abusive Past

Halle Berry has been no stranger to domestic violence – both as a child and as a adult.

“My mother was a battered woman and that was my childhood for a good chunk of it,” the star tells NBC’s Natalie Morales.

The Oscar-winning actress talks with NBC Nightly News about her abusive history as her inspiration for becoming involved with the Jenesse Center, an Los Angeles shelter that provides support for domestic violence victims.

“I care, I really care about these women and children,” says Berry about the center.

Berry has found happiness with her 19-month-old daughter Hala and boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey.

Dogs working out in Salman Khan’s personal gym

Dogs working out in Salman Khan's personal gym Mumbai: Flying overwhelmed these days with girl friend Katrina’s confessions over their six year long relationship, actor Salman Khan is so happy with the situation that his happiness has led him to gift his gym to his pets.

News is that Sallu, who is equally known for his love for pets as for his girl friend, have actually taken over his gym as he (Salman) has no space from them at his home. Salman lost his dearly loved pet dog Myson, he adopted two more dogs.

Salman, who is said to have a fully equipped personal gym in his Galaxy Apartments is now hitting the gym near his home where he had been a regular member.

It is also said that Salman sees to it that the gym is kept clean and he avoids going in there for his workout, as dogs are staying in there.

Tila Tequila Teaches Us How to Hookup

Not only is she a staple on MTV’s Reality TV rotation, but Tila Tequila is also a published author. And yesterday she was spotted signing copies of her new book.

The “A Shot at Love” babe turned up at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Downtown Manhattan to meet and greet fans and autograph copies of “Hooking Up With Tila Tequila.”“Hooking Up” is being billed as “a guide to love, fame, happiness, success, and being the life of the party,” and with a description like that, who wouldn’t want a copy?

As for her reality show digs, Tila is stepping away from her “A Shot at Love” gig to give two bisexual twins a chance to make their mark. “A Double Shot at Love” is the show’s new incarnation starring the ikki twins, Rikki and Vikki.
