Courteney Cox is set to lay the ghost of her Friends character Monica to rest in her racy new TV show.In U.S. comedy Cougar Town, Courteney, 44, reveals her impressive figure as she flashes her white lingerie at a passing teenage cyclist.In the new ABC show, which starts in October, Courteney plays Jules, a fortysomething divorcée single mother struggling to find love in a small Florida town.

When her character realises most of the men her own age are taken, she starts dating a younger man, hence the title ‘Cougar Town’.A clip of of the late-night programme shows Jules being accused of trying to ‘hit on’ her teenage son Tad (Dan Byrd) .In somewhat questionable casting, the stunning, youthful-looking actress is a world away from the ageing, desperate cougar stereotypes.

In a brief segment of the new show, Jules is arguing with her good-looking neighbour Grayson (Josh Hopkins) over his frequent young female guests.While the viewers and Grayson can clearly tell Jules secretly fancies him, she has a go at him for ’sexing up sorority girls’ only a week after splitting from his wife.Grayson turns the focus back to Jules, asking her: ‘When was the last time you got laid?’In a somewhat uneasy reply, she responds: ‘Well, I almost hooked up with my son last night.’Grayson issues her with a challenge, to find a man as young as the women he has been hooking up with.
