Former ‘O.C.’ actress Mischa Barton has angered her close friends by partying at the All Points West music festival in New York even though she was just placed under involuntary psychiatric hold at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
“It’s scary to see her out right after she’s received treatment,” family friend Eric Ziegenbein told Heat magazine.

Boston cops on Monday night branded a 22-year-old pre-med student the “Craigslist Killer” who murdered a pretty New York masseuse and attacked at least two other escorts in hotels.Philip Markoff, a Boston University student who lives in Quincy, a harborside town 10 miles south of Boston, will be arraigned on murder charges today.Cops credited “high-tech leads and old-fashioned shoe leather” for the arrest.

While Kylie Minogue has been visiting her family in Australia, her Spanish lover, Andres Velencoso, has moved into her Chelsea home.‘Andres and Kylie are going strong and when Andres is over in London he stays with Kylie,’ says a friend.‘He has pretty much moved in.’

Gateaen Thomas “Tom” Oteri, father to SNL alum and comic genius Cheri Oteri was found dead in his apartment by a family friend Sunday morning after his roommate, Richard Fagan (who was pulled over for suspicion of DUI Saturday night) confessed to police that he had stabbed Tom.
Richard was a songwriter and Tom was a music producer–the two were roommates in Nashville, TN.

Justin Gaston has played down reports he’s seeing teen star Miley Cyrus.
The underwear model, 20, met the Hannah Montana actress in the summer and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
But Justin, who appeared on the programme Nashville Star in the US, and Miley have not confirmed they’re an item.
‘Oh, [she's] just a family friend, you know,’ he tells Access Hollywood.
‘I met Billy Ray on the show and just became friends with the whole family. And they’re such a great family.
‘I moved [to LA] two years ago and started a modelling career and that’s kind of just to break into the music business and everything.’
Miley, 15, was recently spotted wearing a diamond sparkler on her left hand, sparking rumours Justin had given her a promise ring.
