Nadya Suleman Takes Two Octuplets Home

It’s been a long time coming, and yesterday Nadya Suleman was allowed to bring two of her octuplets home from the hospital.

“Octomom” reportedly collected Noah (5 lbs., 13oz) and Isaiah (5 lbs.) from neonatal nurses at Kaiser Permanante Medical Center and brought them to their new home with their six older siblings.Dr. Mandhir Gupta told press, “This is a happy moment for everyone – the family, physicians, nurses and entire NICU staff. It is always rewarding whenever a premature infant goes home as a healthy baby.”

In a press release, a rep from the hospital stated, “After several home visits Kaiser Permanente determined that Ms. Suleman has safe housing, sufficient child care support and the supplies and equipment needed to care for the first two octuplets. The remaining six babies continue to progress well and remain at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center. All continue gaining weight and remain on either formula or donated pasteurized breast milk.”

And Miss Suleman couldn’t be happier that the process of bringing her babies home has begun. “I’m anxious, but I’m ready. I’m excited to start getting all my family under one roof so I can get on with being a mother.
