American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is probably getting canned from the show. She apparently isn’t too pleased with the situation. Her father, a Republican U.S. Senate contender in New York, says that she is getting the silent treatment from Fox about her rumored firing from the show.
“Would you believe she did not hear — and still has not heard — anything?” Joe DioGuardi said on the New York TV show “Capital Tonight.”
“She read it the way you did and I did. Her disappointment is that that’s the way she’s being treated and she feels that’s not proper. I think they’re trying to create a lot of buzz … they’re trying to reformat the thing. But Kara has a very deep career in music … she’ll be fine. Would she want to do it another year? I think so … I think at some point (she) will confront them on that.”
Kara DioGuardi is reportedly being axed from her two-year stint on the judges’ desk as Fox and the producers revamp. Since Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres are leaving the show and are (probably) being replaced by Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez… we can see how it would render Kara useless. But there has been no official word on the new lineup. So maybe she has some hope.
… we doubt it.
