Loyal fans and beloved friends will get to pay their respects to the King of Pop at the the Neverland Ranch on Friday. According to CNN, Jackson’s body will be returned to the ranch on Thursday, escorted by a 30 car motorcade. A spokesperson for the Jackson family also stated that a private memorial service will be held on Sunday. It still remains unclear where the pop icon’s final resting place will be.
On Monday, Joe Jackson, Michael Jackson’s father, shot down rumors that his son would be buried at Neverland, and that it was too early to speak about funeral arrangements. Mayor Rudy Clay of Gary, Indiana, the Jackson family’s hometown, has already put in a request to the Jackson family to make Gary Michael’s burial site. Clay has promised that the site would be one fit for a prince with the site being near a performing arts center and a Jackson family museum.
